Am hoping to see GeckoPro sometime in the future. A sheet or ribbon of synthetic gecko setae a climber could paste on the rock, clip for protection, and then peel off and reuse. This would eleminate the need for bolts and make face climbing more like crack climbing where the leader choses the protection required, the second cleans. This allows the next party on the route to make their own choice of protection required.

Actually, with that idea we could simply climb the ribbon, thus opening a bunch of routes on blank walls. It'll be a new form of aid. The grade (in the "G" scale) will be determined by how thick the ribbon is. A wider ribbon will enable a more secure place to climb, thus a lower value on the G scale.
