Ever have a climbing dream that woke you up in a state of panic?
I was climbing a snow covered gully that got steeper and steeper until at one point the snow was barely able to hold my weight. I started tumbling down the mountain falling to a certain death as I was soloing.
I have had bad dreams before, but this was scary.
I then woke up and had to down a few beers to get back to sleep.

yea,
like last night (and often the night immediately following an intense climb) I have this momentary sensation of my foot slipping off a little nubbin or something and I start to fall. But I wake up so quickly it barely counts as a dream. More a twitch in my foot then awake. ha

i often fall as i drift off to sleep. it used to be missing a step on the stairs, or missing a curb or something. Now its ALWAYS climbing. failed rappel, huge whipper, slip off a ledge, etc. i wake up MBHUU! (thats the sound i make)

Yeah, Juan, I dreamed about climbing just this morning, weird, so real and scary, nothing I would ever do in real life. It definitely was one of those type dreams where the inevitable fall occurs. In this case, someone was pulling down the rope I was on, I was about to deck-then I woke-
The funny part of this dream is that it took place up at Suicide rock in the gully next to the weeping wall....
whew....

I have the Flu. I've had all sorts of weird, vivid, fever dreams, this last week. Some invovle Climbing. No terror or impending doom, though. Just lots of confusion; dogs who have left my life through death back again at their prime, discovery and loss of loss of Yakima boxes full of Sportiva shoes, Dick Cilley with exotic euro girlfriend in tow, buying me Coffee in the student union @ u-dub, then it becomes a kafka/escher-esque nightmare to try to find my way back from the bafroom. Kinda the usual.

Jaybro, sorry to hear you have the flu, I am sick as Hell but it is just a very nasty cold/sinus infection. Isn't it weird how we dream when ill?
Before I got this latest cold though, did have another dream (I will keep the name of the famous climber secret), he came back, spoke to me revealing all sorts of stuff (intentionally keeping this vague), the dream then evolved into an erotic adventure, whew, but just before it got exciting I woke, lol.....
at least this dream wasn't a nightmare!!!
