Why cant you get this through another conduit like the uncle? This request is pretty personal and 'out there'. There are people who knew the man well enough to have or be able to get you this information if they feel you needed it and you know precisely who they are are I am sure. I am saying this to you because even though it is 'a climber's forum' it is not a rolodex or a good way to circumvent the traditional methods of communication ESPECIALLY in regards to sensitive and very personal subjects. If you are in direct contact with JB's immediate family I highly suggest going to them for this info. While I am sure you have good intention the dynamic between father and son can be complex and very hard to understand by even the most kind hearted passer by. I am not trying to discourage you but I do want to make clear that even if someone here had that information to give you it wouldnt necessarily make it OK for them to give it to you. This is just not the purpose of the board be it a climber's forum or not or whether you are a part of that community or not. You are dealing with families here.

hey there ron, say, a fine handshake to you, on a job well done...
say, study... nice to see you out on a supertopo stoll, this evening...
and may it be a hearty and cheery one, full of smiles among friends, too...
:)
*i am babysitting one of the grandkids, and got to run... will see you all later in the mid-night hours---am busy veryyy busy now... :O
me and granddaughter are making cards for her mom...
*teaching a "young-un" how to be a 'giver of joy'...
just had to step back in and give ron a supertopo hug... some trails are a rough journey at times... fine handshakes and a good salute along the way, make for wonderful memories--this one i will cherish...

Thanks neebee, a hug would be better, but the handshake is taken as a hug! No need for thanks anyway, glad to help out in this case, good deeds for good deeds, something like good Karma! Anytime I can help out is cool! Enjoy the GRANDkids tonight!
Peace
