I am going to try and take my Lead Guide Cert up in JTree in the beginning of November. Aside from being pretty nervous, I was hoping some of you might give me some beta on the camping. Primitive is good to go, as financing will be slender. As always, I appreciate your input!

Don't you have to have some kind of membership to camp at the Pit?

Yeah.... you've got to be a member of "The Dregs of Society" club. No card needed, a quick glance, even in the dim desert light, will be proof enough.

No need to contact anyone offline regarding the pit.
I am the only person allowed to speak on behalf of the land owner and I am the final authority when it comes to the property. Anyone telling you anything different is to be ignored.
The pit is open. Drop by Nomad's and they can give you directions. The rules are pretty plain and simple:
#1 Don't F#CK with the neighbors
#2 Quiet time starts at 10:00 PM.
#3 DO NOT CAMP OR PARK ON THE "HILL". Please set up your campsite in the pit proper. We don't want to attract attention.
#4 A small camp fire is fine. Keep it in the pit proper.
#5 Be respectful of others staying there
#6 Clean up after yourself and others if need be.
#7 It is not advisable to leave your personal belongings unattended for long durations of time. Take it with you.
#8 DON'T F#CK WITH THE NEIGHBORS
If you have any issues there, or problems, please leave a message at Nomad's and I will get it and deal with it as best I can. My name is Robert Fonda and they know how to contact me.
Enjoy yourself, it may not be heaven, but it's free and in town.
Robert

Is there a bathroom at the pit or is it more of a dig your own or unimproved thunderbox situation?
