Was there a second gun on the grassy knoll?
Who invented liquid soap, and why?
How does sunscreen really work?

These and many other questions keep me awake at night.

I am thinking about trying to learn how to play the guitar, again.
I used to play when I was a kid, and was pretty good too.

When the Beatles broke up, I was devestated, and just stop playing.

I never did know why they broke up, but know that there were a lot of people who felt that this was caused by Yoko Ono.

I never really bought that, and would have to guess that like most failed relationships, there was a breakdown in communication.

Maybe John and Paul had creative differences, and were going in different directions.

I don't know.

Any Beatle historians here?

William Shepphard first patented liquid soap on August 22, 1865.

I don't know if Yoko uses soap.

what's the average life-time of a band, anyway? Rock & Roll was probably less than 10 years old when the Beatles got together and issued their first commercial record.

They went a bit more than 10 years together, writing, recording, performing, etc.. who have you worked with that closely over 10 years? probably no one.

At some point you are probably going to get interested in other things, your group is trying to get you to do what has been successful in the past...

...even the Rolling Stones aren't the same as they were, personnel wise.

Why blame it on Yoko? seems way to simple minded an explanation...

and do you think that the Beatles would continue to produce interesting stuff? Let It Be was a breath of fresh air because of it's relatively low production level on some of the tracks.. fun...vital...spontaneous.

Things don't last for ever, zip....

...nor should they.

They blame it on Yoko because the Brits are way down on Asians.

Trust Russ to turn a useful thread about an important climbing topic like this into something about going down on Asians.

Lennon sunk the Beatles when he answered that age old question on an album cover:

"helmet or anteater?"

If I was John and you were Yoko, I would gladly give up musical genius...

Just to have you as my very own personal Venus...

Last week my overly loud and annoying little brother was in town helping me with a boat Im painting(thats a whole nother story). He had come over to our jam session one night and was standing back listening while we played. He is a musician too and not a bad one but we have our thing going... So after a particular song he comes over and tells me we should do this or that differently. "What, are you our manager or something?" I say. And over my shoulder Doug says...

"Yea, sit down Yoko".

Heeelarious.

C,

Still working on that GB?

And so that brings up another question, sorta like the Ginger or Mary Anne scenerio.

Linda Eastman, or Yoko Ono.

Gotta go with Linda on that one.

It was shame when she died and Sir Paul hooked up with the one legged devil bitch.

My 93 year old cousin lives in Mayfair Tower next door to the Dakota where Yoko is.

Fortunately she is hard of hearing.
(still she's quite certain one of the neighbor's kids has been torturing some cat)
