Mark Wilford approached, climbed and descended Sentinel Rock via the Steck Salathe.

The early human migrations out of Africa were likely conducted in the then normal barefoot style. Many porters in Nepal prefer being barefoot over shod. Somebody has probably marched the Appalachian Trail barefoot.

Skip Guerren climbed 5.12 edging route barefoot. And did all the approaches and downclimbs barefoot.

I did the Whitney Gilman barefoot,and followed Never Never Land that way too(he bragged.....lol....)

the callouses harbor microbes , so me bought some shoes.


weird, every time i hear "you put da lime in da coconut" by nillson, i have to remove my shoes.

mom told me a coconut fell on my head when i was just knee high to a praying hindu.
