This man deserves credit for what he has done on the walls, he made them super safe. The South Face is now safe, there are good anchors and the bolts are way solid. It seems that people have death wishes who dislike the replacement efforts. Do people not value their lives? Or what? I for one value my life and wish to keep living. Thanks Erik!

Werner you are scared because you have spent 50 years on these things, hence you know. Plus the SAR toll over how many decades? :)
Keep on going man.

Not sure I understand why anyone has a problem with replacing bolts, and what does it matter if they use a power drill?

Because he adds bolts just not replaces them. Taking routes down to your level not kosher. Adding bolts cause it is more "convenient" or a portaledge hangs better or what ever not cool.
