Nice, Tom. I think that Charlie guy is the Charlie who used to live here at the Gunks a few years ago. He hit the road west, out to the Tetons and such. Last I saw him was about 2 years ago in Jtree.

Tom~

Glad to hear 'Pass The Pitons Pete' found another
partner! Hopefully a Strong one, after the hernia! That is a
huge chunk of rock that blasted off under the Great
Roof, I would NOT want to be on the receiving end of
that exchange!

P.S. Stellar 'Porter Painter Pants'..

Thanks,

True about the Nose team if they hang in there, it will, without a doubt be a huge adventure realized. Go boyz, go!

Cheers,

Doug

Check out the forecast. Rain is expected for the next week every single day. 30% chance really means it's gonna rain. Sheesh.

Yo I have never seen a more dangerous team on the cap... they did not tie into the end of the rope or use paranoia knots when jugging or following the KS. So far they are lucky and when you rely on luck you are playing a fools game. They have tenacity and two haul bags to keep them going.. I hope they have all the best of luck. They were doing things that showed me they are just winging it up there and making it up as they go along. They will learn a lot and I hope will make it up ok.
I was joking about the link to SAR of course but....

Thorgon and/or Tom,

I don't see any difference in the photos of the Great Roof, other than they were taken from slightly different positions.

Can you be more specific about what you think broke off?

Did anyone else catch Tom's casual note in his report from May 30th, which said "In other news: Steve and Mimi’s wedding drew a lot of the legends of Yosemite to it this afternoon in spite of the threatening weather. Big party going on in El Portal as I write this."

Surely there's much more to tell!

And for some live footage of John Sebastian (Charlie's dad) and the Lovin' Spoonful, http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=CA&hl=en&v=54PV2_b4-ow
