This thread has some recent pictures. It looks like a fair amount of snow still on the ground, but it is hot and melting fast.

There will be loads of snow hiking to Cathedral - once you're at the route it's fine. So it will completely depend on the temps - if the snow is firm, no problem, but if the snow is really soft, it will get messy.

Memorial day weekend last year, we hiked on firm snow pretty much the whole way from the road to Drug Dome, but the base of the dome was fairly clear (waterfall coming down on the right though - blowing water). Looks like similar snow now (maybe a bit more).

Everything on the north side of the road (S facing) will be fine.

The area was a total mushfest this weekend. Skied up False White peak and mashed them potatoes on the way down. You should plan on skinning or you won't git very far. Wlking/slooging will be a nightmare. Its soooooooofffftttt up there, even above 11,500.

skied Dana couliar on Sat. and didn't take my own advice, hit it a bit too early and it was bullet-proof!The upper slopes were good but the main coulair was in the shade and FIRM!!!

Hey Eastside, I heard the Dana Coulior was way stiff. Its amazing how varied the area is right now. We were hip deep in yogurt in the chutes below False White.
