This rope is suppossed to have minimal stretch. So this is going to be good for jugging; but wouldn't this be bad for falling on marginal placements? Less stretch would mean more energy beeing absorbed by the placements making them more likely too fail. How ideal is this rope on more difficult aid?

I would assume so. Either way, this rope sucks to use with a gri-gri. I bought one for soloing and can't use it. Its too thick.

I mean, it works with a Gri-Gri, but its such a hassel to feed that I've decided not to use it...

are you solo-aiding .. or free rope-soloing? ..

===

works fine for solo-aiding ..

.. and if you're free rope-soloing .. why are you using an 11mm line?

solo aiding.

Like I said, it works, but it is a pain to feed the rope through the gri-gri. Its too thick. If you use the gri-gri method for jugging it also sucks .

just my 2 cents having tried it. The Yates 10.2 is the way to go in my opinion.

I've worn out my Yates 11mm rope out aid soloing with it the past two years (using a gri gri) -- it's been a great choice for a wall rope.

I called Yates a few weeks ago and they are adding (or is it replacing the 11mm?) a new 10.8mm wall rope to their selection. They supposedly shipped from Bluewater on 5/27 and should be available this week. I'll be buying one.
