just in case you don't already know Epinephrine is not your average 5.9 I know several very strong climber that have sh#t bricks on the chimney pitches!

For the leap, just show up at the parking area and you'll be sure to tag along with someone.

Thanks for the beta on the chimney. I have a lot of beta on the route, I'm sure it will be challenging but I've been told the back of the chimney has ample opportunity for pro.

Hey man Epi is a classic R.R. sandbag! If 5:9 is your trad
limit then try another Black Velvet classic first, perhaps Frogland, 5:8. This is not a flame dude. You should be VERY
solid at 10+ before you decide to sweep those chimneys :)

Crimson is oh so sweet, 'sept you'll roast there in the middle of September. We look for shade here until mid Oct.

I'll show you around for a day or two...

Bullshit on the Epinephrine sandbag thing. Red Rocks is the land of the awesome, yet softly-graded, trad lines. If you can climb 5.8/9 OW/chimneys in the Valley then you'll hike it.

I have seen ratings on both ends of the spectrum at red rocks. I have onsited a "5.12" sport climb that are realy only mid 11 but I was also on some 5.9 stuff that felt much more difficult. Kind of a strange place, you can stroke your ego and get spainked all in the same day. From my experience it was some (not all) of the sprot climbs that where a little soft and some (not all) the trad climbs that were sandbaged.

The difficulty of Epi. really comes down to your ability & experience in chimneys, & f you can climb 5.9 wide stuff in the valley than you can do it anywhere.

Do be prepared to be way run out a few times in there- whoever told you the chimneys in Epi. tke gear was only partially right (parts of them take gear, other parts don't).
