From a Santa Fe newspaper article about climbers' impacts:
Rookie Ha Pham, 23, hopes to venture up it [Cathedral]eventually, but said she was concerned the conditions she'd find wouldn't meet her standards.
"They should have signs and stuff and trash cans outside," said Pham, who climbs regularly in the safety of a San Francisco gym. "I don't think they even clean your rocks off for you out there."

My favorite quote of the article:
"The next time I see some guy with gear that's mine at the top of the peak, I'm gonna push him off," said Bryan Law, 35, with a grin. "Some people just don't know how to behave."

hahahahahahaha! Seriously, though, she makes a good point- someone should be out there cleaning holds for noobs. Maybe they could like set-up camp and cook meals for them, too, that way they wouldn't even know they were outside.

Minerals,
Congrats! It looks like you've hit the big time with the AP quote!
This wasn't the AP reporter that was coming in late August was it?
Shack-thanks for quoting the quote.....
