Belatedly I have done a little research to determine the value of the 1951 Hudson that Facelift recovered.
The car had been customized so it did not fit easily into the usual six condition codes given for collectors's cars. Depending upon the model, which I do not know, its value in a fully restored condition is somewhere between $20,000 and $50,000. The value of this car for parts is about $1000. As I understand it the car still had its motor which presumably would yield a treasure trove of engine parts.
So I would guess its value as being somewhere between $250 and $400.

Was it a Hornet ? Before my time, but I assume that Hudson made different models.

I don't believe it was a Hornet. It looked like a full sized vehicle.

Wonder what you could get for a '56 Mighty Hiker? Or a '38 Stannard? Latter in excellent condition.

The 38 models tended to suffer from blown head gaskets and they threw their rods with some regularity.

I very seriously doubt that there could be any part from that engine that could be used for anything...
Hell, no parts whatsoever from that rusted hulk...

Yeah nothing for automotive use,HK, but for Neal Cassidy installations or something it's a goldmine.
19-fidy six, Mighty Hiker, eh? We're the same vintage, Anders, we better stand back to back, lest they start stripping us for parts!

I believe the '56 Mighty Hiker is a fairly common model. This one had a five year engine rebuild, and since then some minor repairs and tuneups. Various parts are slowly wearing out, and although a walking tribute to modern medicine, it should be good for a few km yet.

From looking at it I would guess the Fairbanks-Morse Bill Keys was using in the wall street mill could be rebuilt. That one has been inactive now for almost 40 years. It is only in the last ten years that the main bearings have seized. If you have a little oakum doing leaded bearings can be fun. I don't know where the Hudson was located so that and how much residual oil may have been present would tell the tale.

Probably inactive more like 70 years
Given 25k and 9 months, I'd get that rig runnin!
50-100k to get the building structuraly up to snuff.
The most difficult part to track down would be enough 6" wide leather for the belts. Although given the era cloth / rubber flat belts would be authentic.
Ever check out the auxillary lighting system built with the generator and lights scavenged from the hulk of the flathead Ford nearby?
Geting the 3hp engine and pump at the well running would be quite a machine work job though.

Wasn't the Blue Goose, was it? In 1970 there was an abandoned oldie in lot of C4 and many used it as a crash pad.
