I'm watching the mountains episode right now. Pretty amazing footage of Pakistan, Argentina, even the Himalayas. I can't believe how vulnerable I feel compared to the few animals they feature... hard-hoofed animals can run up and down steep rock faster than I ever could, or leopards carrying carcasses up for hundreds of feet,
and their cameras have incredible resolution and zoom.
Anyone else seen any of these films?

You should see it in big screen HD-- unbelieveable. They spent 5 years to get about 11 40 minute episodes, and it shows.

They have the whole series on DVD at CostCo (at least here) for around $52 if you want to plug it in, grab some popcorn and relax on the couch while adjusting yer hamster in the privacy of your own home.

Didn’t know the Himalaya stretch across a tenth of the earth. Got the mountains on now. Some of the best $52 spent at Costco since the 94 Phelps.

The limestone spires it shows in Borneo (I think?), in the cave episode is unreal...

I thought their footage of the Torres del Paine were better than anything I had ever seen before. Some of the slow-mo footage is special too. I loved the footage of the great whites chasing sea lions. It's often soooo up close and personal that it really stands out as being special.
