I was just there with Steph (her trip report referenced in the previous post). The road washouts are all repaired, and the parking lot was completely full last 3-day weekend (August 4-6). Lots of space in the parking lot when we left - the weather was a bit unsettled towards the end of the week.

Thanks guys. Great trip report by the way. We are going later this week, and have our sights set on the East Face of Central Howser (5.7). It appears that the bergshrund does not have a bridge to cross if going up (like it typically does)? Did it appear crossable (if ascending)? Thx.

There might be a bridge below the notch between central and north Howser.
Here's another photo from a trip report on cascadeclimbers.com:
I checked my photo of the Howsers and the possible bridge is just out of the frame.

Tore the oil pan open driving our rental car out of there last summer. Sucked that is all I have to say. Go slow and watch out. I know I am not the first.
