I hit the road almost 20 years ago (cripes is it that long?) leaving the East Coast far behind. I miss people, but I love the western mountains.

I've gone ~1000 miles in the last 24 hours..... I think 17 of it was spent trying to get out of DC.
I'm halfway there!!!!
I Keep seeing Werner's name EVERYwhere. How can I not think of Supertopo?
Car Talk was particularly funny this morning.

Have a great trip. I am laughing at your seeing Werner's name everywhere. Every time I'm on the road and see all of those trucks, I think of Werner too.

The Tetons were UNBELIEVABLY awesome & I'm planning on at least 8 nights in the back country next year!!!!

PS- I'm having culture/touron shock. Just arrived at Tuolumne Meadows less than 24 h ago. I did feel better after checking out Stately Pleasure Dome!
PPS- Joe Baker: Hope you & Judy are doing well! I gotta run back to DC for a few days but have several weeks of camping reserved in Aug/Sept. Lemme know if y'all are interested!
