Aloha All,
In three weeks I get to fly out June 6th arrive SFO at a scheduled 8:10 PM. Is there anyone who would like to cut their cost of fuel drastically? Have good company for the few hours on the road? Please let me know. I have a friend in the area if you want me dropped off somewhere, that’s possible. So Wednesday nite or Thursday AM is fine.
Why knott take Thursday/Friday off and head to the valley? I don’t plan to bring any bottled water into the valley.

Also come Thursday June 7th, I will be ready to head up the Big Stone. If anyone is looking for a mild natured, peaceable guy for a wall partner please advise. I have solo-ed the WFLT and bailed off Zodiac twice. This trip I’ll take any route that is open. I would love to have a climb and partner already planned.

Thanks,
Wil

There is, of course, the bus option that I keep in case no one has similar plans. Last time a friend posted a note on the C4 board, anyone need a ride to SFO on this date or near? with my phone number. So I rented a car, drove it to the Valley, gave the keys to three Frenchmen and they returned to the rental agency. I was a bit worried but they returned the car on time as promised. So if someone needs a ride back on June 7th or thereabouts shoot me an email and we’ll talk. The car was a bright yellow mustang, I am sure they drove the hell out of it and likely set a speed record in the process.

I am also good at buying drinks, hitching a ride is always a good option.

Aloha,
wil

I won’t continue to bump this, its three weeks out but if it sinks off page one, I’ll likely try again next week.

Fer $119 I can leave SFO and be in Reno 1145 PM. Thanks allot Mark, Just curious how long is it to the east gate from Reno?

I had this rental upgrade for that trip and was hoping for a nice ride, then they give me this bright yellow mustang, there are that few miles of steep uphill about an hour before the valley, well I took the shortcut and hammered that rod up the hill, that was all it did for me. But my French buddies were stoked to drive a mustang. I told them pull into Hertz, and walk away, do not answer any questions. The receipt was mailed to me.

I’ll keep looking for a San Fran connect cuz $119 is allot of valley beer. But I will shoot you an email, a 91 Mararatti on Tioga Pass has potential.

Aloha, and Great hanging with you at SF!

Alright its two weeks to go, still cant find my ledge, but its around. If on June 6 after 8pm or June 7 anyone is leaving the SF area to the Valley please let me join you. I will reduce you gas bill dramatically, buy lunch and beers, and tell tales of years on the high seas for your entertainment to pass the miles away or just sit down and shut up.

Mark Thanks again, I'll shoot you an email later today.

Right on, Bugman is coming with a few more about 2 days after me. We should throw a party...well we do every day. Heading out the door to boulder Waimea, then bike peacock flats, should be drinking beer at Cholo's by 2.

See you in the Valley.
