I never met a climber that didn't have an issue with some sort of politics and government so how can you keep climbers away of political discussions ?

Because they are human and politics is relevant to their lives!

Answer, impossible. Might as well ask them not to breathe.

Perhaps a better question would be, what is not political?

It use to be a safe bet to talk about the weather. LOL.

Edit: I may be wrong, but politics, like the Net, seem to be connected to everything else. Someone please prove me wrong.

Questioning everything including politics is not a rabbit hole. Failing to do so is a lockstep towards totalitarianism. Anyone who says they have all the answers is lying to you. That too might also be a lie. I’m not sure what Werner would say.

Yes, Mr. Gill. But what happens when one didn't start out
with so much????

Climbers have strong personalities. Goes along with political thinking.
