Senior Climbers Access & Mobility will be partnering with the Access Fund to improve the approaches for older and/or disabled climbers. Not everyone can just jump out of the car, hoist a pack of gear on their back and charge up the hill. The program will be called EZAccess. Appropriate signage and roadway markings will be developed so even the legally blind can find EZAccess climbing
EZAccess should never lull you into a false sense of security. Always keep your brake hand securely on the rope. Your seatbelt should be properly adjusted and securely attached, and the parking brake set.
We suggest adding these additional protocols before commencing the climb.
Seatbelt, check
Parking Brake, check
You are on belay!
We generally suggest that noobs to EZAccess climbing start without the engine running. As you progress and gain experience you can begin leaving the engine running for basic comforts (heating and air conditioning). The more seasoned EZAccess climbers work on such skills as moving the car forward and reverse to take and slack.
As would be expected, there have been reports of some EZAccessers engaging in some rather unsafe habits. A common abuse is rolling up the window on the rope to hold your climber. The only no hands hold SCAM recognizes as safe is trapping the rope in the door.
Senior Climbers Access & Mobility (SCAM) will accept your generous donations. 100% of all donations will be used to purchase only the finest IPAs

Do you roll up the windows to make a dynamic belay?
