One of my good friends, a sailor, big wall climber and adventurer just bought a new boat. And has invited me to sail with him up to Greenland and go big wall climbing!!!

We are up in iceland so the sailing is only 2-3 days but still, it means leaving my wife with our two kids and be away during our whole summer vacation.. I will have to find a way to sell her that idea :)

Yeah, definately a trip of a lifetime, hope i can make it all work out and get on that boat.

I have friends who have been up there on a few climbing trips and the trip reports and photos are really something, seems like a magical place.

ah sense the need for complex analysis:

is santa real?

at that latitude you must have a good view of her compound.

An aluminum bluewater boat - sounds ideal for such a trip...

I have been aboard a number of Ovni center-board Al boats throughout the South Pacific. Very popular with the French and Italian sailors, well built with emphasis on ease of handling.

Some issues in the past with the Al centerboard but does not appear to be a major issue.

Quite a large number built so active used boat market and good resale if that is important.
