I just did a double take on a post from Debbie and Loyd Price, asking Layton to say hello to Jim Bridwell.
Loyd first posted in December 2015.
http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/731482/They-Dont-Make-Mountain-Guides-Like-This-Anymore-Do-They
So this is not new, but it deserves to be more widely know.
For those of you not around in the late 60s and early 70s, Loyd was a first rate climber who among other things climbed some of the first 5.11, ran the Mountaineering School, and worked on big YOSAR rescues. I worked for Loyd at the Mountaineering School after Wayne Merry left to find peace and freedom in the cold north. Debbie was a manager for the Curry Company.
From what I can tell of the pictures they have posted, big fish is the new climbing.
Welcome to ST land.

Loyd is a great guy, fun to ski with and a good boss. Debbie and Loyd opened there house up for parties, took care of the guides. They served up some fine meals. I still remember the salmon. Cheers to two fine people.

I remember him from Tuolumne in the late 60's. A really nice, friendly guy. He should have done a Marlboro cigarette commercial with that photo. It is better than anything I saw on TV.

Welcome to the Man Who Climbed Yosemite in a Day...and his lovely wife! Tell us a tale of the Vendetta with Roger Gordon (who was the first guy to take me out climbing as a kid in 1970) or guiding for the YMS or rescues with Wayne Merry BITD.
