"Restoration efforts also could take into account the park’s popularity as a rock-climbing spot, Gardner said."

Could?! ... MUST!

I feel very renegadish! :)

There's always a turd in that tunnel, they should do something about that.

A restoration project isn't complete without an ADA snowshoing trail...Grant money of course...Lots of signs to...Like every 10 feet so hikers can't get lost...

this is a great idea: The only thing that would perhaps be better, would be instead of spending money on fancy consultants, seek volunteer expertise in the community.

There are many, many retired engineers looking for something to do.

There are many volunteers that work on US Forest Service trail crews, building and repairing such trails, with great expertise. This approach creates "buy in" from the community.

Designation as a "historical climbing park" would also be unique.

The turds I saw were under the beehive problem on the outside.

Ken...Yours is a better idea having local volunteers consult...i've seen trail projects where none of the local agencies collaborated resulting in wasteful redundancies , ski trails that ended up being blocked by new bike trails..basically a bureaucratic klusterfluck with no one being held accountable and no one taking the responsibility to solve the problems...

I always enjoyed running down the steepest trail from the top to the bottom BITD. On the edge of losing it and wiping out, slip-sliding and unable to stop until the trail crossed the road. Not another soul around. Fun times....

Went back a couple years ago....times have changed.
