Hi, I recently started running and injured my knee. I’m looking for a good compression knee sleeve to see if it will help me continue to workout & get back to climbing. Has anyone here tried a compression knee sleeve by Grip Power Pads? It looks great online, but I just wanted some advice before I make a purchase. Thanks.

Haven't tried the brace. Just curious. What kind of surface are you running on? My experience was that pavement was a serious problem until I built up to it. Running on grass was the best.

Compression sleeves are all but useless. Rest and heal up. Get footwear that works for you and ease back in with 2 rest days between runs. Fill in with plenty of lower impact stuff like walking, biking, swimming, elyptic, etc.

Run with short stride and quick tempo to get going, your stride will lengthen as you gain specific strength and skills.

Conversation level pace should be your primary running speed.

Those guys are being nice, the degerative nature of knees lends to the issue here.

Mainly get to a Dr, have you?

That you were already miss stepping
and
thinking of buying into fake medicine
Shows an unwillingness to listen to your own body.

It is good you recognized enough to go posting,
( looking for advice in the wrong places)
(asking here is a much better then over at the other site - and here you got answers, right?)

Do not keep working the injury.

Do not start lifting weights on a bum knee.

Rest - (anti inflamitory remedies) = Frozen bags of peas & CIRCULATION & elevation

R. I C E,
THEN MEDS, if needed? , in small doses,
( someone told me not to take Ibroprphen to sleep? I think? Certainly don't mix with alcohol )

AND LIGHT WALKING (NO PACK)
IF THE NAGGING PAIN IS EVER SHARP ? SEE A SPORTS MEDICINE SPEACALIST.
Knee(s) damage can be degenerative, causing other body parts to try and compensate,
Changing your natural gait, leading to more knee pain, hip, ankle or back issues as well.

A small tear can grow or rub in such away as to cause pain and the need for more invasive attention.
Strengthen ham-strings, get a rolling chair, sit with good posture,
drag yourself (using your legs) then push yourself back do this every day for a full week
Still this is not actually recommend until you know the extent Of the injury.

Arthroscopy (also called arthroscopic surgery)
is a minimally invasive surgical procedure on a joint in which an examination and sometimes treatment of damage is performed using an arthroscope, an endoscope that is inserted into the joint through a small incision.

Would you run your horse on pavement?
