I attended a talk by Beth last Wednesday at Adventure 16 in W. Los Angeles.

I thought it was outstanding.

Beth wove together a narrative of her life as a climber, and as a climber-woman, that was most interesting.

She did not, as I see many climber talks do, get lost in the weeds of the technical issues.....although there was enough there for real climbers to enjoy.

I was particularly moved by her discussion about her life impacts from climbing, and how it made her the person she is.

She answered EVERY question the audience had, then stayed to sign posters and books.

I strongly recommend seeing her speak---a very skillful talk.

BTW, Adventure 16 goes out of it's way to bring in great speakers (ahem, I, of course, am one of them). It's worth while checking out their schedule or getting on their email list.

Awesome, hope she gives a slideshow in the Bay Area when I have the time to attend, she always seemed like someone interesting to meet or hear speak about her path.

I recall one day a staffer walked into the Rocknasium carrying an A5 haulbag. He set it on a bench and we all began talking about the hard grit night (translation: king swings over the candy counter). Then all of a sudden, Beth climbed out of the haulbag! She has a great sense of humor and is one of the best competitors I ever had the privilege of knowing. Only Mike Wickwire can entertain a crowd while competing as well as she can. Good luck to you, Beth in whatever you do.
