Fortunately, the "monster" is only curious, not malevolent.

Here's a link to Blanchard guitars
1. Type in the text you want for the link, then select it with the mouse.
2. Now select Web Link and put in the address for the link

For simple URLs that begin with h t t p : / /
you don't have to do anything special. They are auto-detected and mad active.
For https links, you need to manually create the URL as indicated above.
But beware, people can do sneaky stuff like this (I dare you to click the link - it's work safe):
https://blanchardguitars.com
That is how a lot of email-based phishing attacks take advantage of non-technical people. It looks like a link to one place you think is safe (like your bank) but it really takes you to a different site that mimics your bank so you enter your username and password, or maybe it's just a simple webpage that takes advantage of a browser security hole to gain control of your computer and plant a virus/trojan/etc.

It's good we have weblinks. We could go around and around looking for something, otherwise.

At the upper right of the reply box, in small print, is the phrase "Learn more about formatting tags." Click it and all will be revealed.

blueblocr,
there's always eleven characters between the watch?v= and the &
copy out just those 11 and stick them between the = and the ] in this:
[youtube= ]
~~~~
also when someone attempts to post a link by starting out https instead of http
it can be highlighted, right clicked, and choose "search for ..... in google"
How to post a Youtube video to show it directly on a ST thread:
1. Start by copying the URL Web link on Youtube when you are playing the video: Example - your example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LP5uuLcwCs&list=PLMKA5kzkfqk18faruyGLVu1YI1-4i2N7P
2. Then choose the part of the URL web link above that is after the equal sign (=) and before the & sign. That gives: _LP5uuLcwCs (This is the Youtube video ID).
It is always this part of the URL you have to use.
(Some URLs are much easier than the one you picked, because the last part of their URL after the equal sign only have the few signs you need)
3. Then click on the "Video" box just above the white answer box on the thread where you want to post the video.
A box with the name "Youtube video ID" turns up. Put the Youtube video ID into the box.
4. Click on the "Submit" button, and then post.
You get this video:
You are the winner of part A.
Now for part B how do you automate the circularity (i.e. how do you fire the linked to link upon arrival there).
I'm pretty sure it requires code.
