Kind of a downer, but interesting view of how messed up the world is right now.

i have absolutly no friggen idea what your talking about.

yup, world = messed up.

you have serious vertical disability, but there's gotta be something out there...i'm sure there's some warehouse with plastic crap drilled into the wall.

as far as "babel"...it is worth seeing, but maybe more of a renter?

it is realistic, which is nice.

it also portrays nicely how much the american media thrives off our fears here in the states.

i feel its underlying message is that everyone needs love, but cultures are different and the love people need might be different based on culture and money.

You don't have to see a movie to know how scewed up the world is at the moment.

When I'm down, I watch my Looney Tunes collection.

A worthy movie. Distrurbing in a sense and not really a fun view. My two cents worth: the folks in power, the Moroccan police, the US embassy, the border patrol all weild it ruthlessly. The wealthy, in the end, walk away fine while the goat herder and the illegal nanny loose much. The character Brad Pit plays is a decent fellow. A reasonable potrayal of the world in 2006.

How do you think it plays out in our own lives? Isn't this what they're getting at? What side of the "power grab" are we on? Most people with the $10.25 to see this are on the "power grab" side, but what can we do? A lot of people in the theatre seemed upset when the nanny got the short-end of the stick, but how many of them thought this way when they voted in 2000 and 2004?

How many of us are programmed to think "terrorism" now if an accident occurs in a predmoninantly islamic country where there is no known terrorist cell for miles around?

How can we relate to a deaf, mixed up teenager desperately seeking love in all the wrong ways after her mother has committed suicide?

It is so hard to relate to people because our media has twisted what is real to the point that nothing matters to us gluttons.

It was interesting to see how the Americans' relationship changed when the sh*t hit the fan and they were brought back to reality.
