For those of you who knew and remember Twilly, I just learned a few minutes ago that he died the day before yesterday, on March 29th, in New Jersey. That's literally all I know at this point.

I must say that I waited and waited, I had hopes that others also are aware of who this was. . . ??
a giant in the underground - Twilly was the real deal!
in the 70s-80s he was a strong "gatherer of the tribe", his charisma was infectious.
He helped stop so many "bad for the environment things",
he is a Saint ... . . . . like Muir or E Abbey.
WOW that is a dismal showing for the Radist Radical of all
RIP, mad protester I hope that you were at peace in the end and thnx for showing the world how to be heard
NO NUKES!

Well, crap.
I was hoping to see Twilly once more.
The obit fails to credit it him as a beloved tour guide of the Evergreen soccer field mushroom harvest and the highest branches of the famed and monstrous Sunny Muffin tree ...
Twilly had a very intricate appreciation of people, things, and the world.
I hope Van Hise and Callagan know how to conduct a proper burial at sea for the old Captain!

Gnome, your stock goes up a little bit in my book. Twilly was all that. And yeah Roy, I always thought I'd see Twilly again too. What a bummer.

This is a very sad day. I met Twilly while I was working as a logistics coordinator on a Greenpeace ship based out of DC. He was working with our action team helping to set up protests on bridges in New York. He would just reappear every now and then in my life and then be in the wind for years at a time. Go easy my friend.
