If they pass the weed law I could see a new home base created for climbers.
Damn and just when I almost have the Cali move worked out.

Yeah, me and Kim, although legal weed has nothing to do with it. Great climbing and better cultural opportunity are the attraction for us. We were thinking Ft. Collins or Colorado Springs.

Yet I wonder how likely this is to pass when they have the anti-gay thing going. We voted on an amendment here in Tennessee to "make marriage the union of one woman and one man, blah, blah" I voted against that BS. Let the gays suffer in marriage along with the straights.

No, it does not (responding to Forest). As much as it's image rests on places like boulder and various outdoor destinations of daring-do, colorado is all too much a reactionary rocky mtn state. In some ways worse than most, as it is all too much a second home haven for the truly wealthy who like to invest in real estate in places with few environmental regs, and other, bothersome, red tape.

Not that the local climbing population isn't amongst the 'greenist.' For that I salute them!

It'll be legal in Nevada before Colorado.

" Does it actually have a chance of passing?"

It doesn't matter; the feds will only step up their persecution if it does, a la Ed Rosenthal

I smoked legal weed in Alaska (1990). Damn good, too.

I believe later that year the law went up to a vote of the people and was repealed. Rats!

The law seemed to "work". No one would sell it (as far as I could tell) but lots of people invited me into their homes to get loaded.

I hope Colorado passes their iniative.

Sorry Wil,
Dead in the water. Any chance it had of winning went down the tubes when Denver voters were met with hour plus lines due to computer problems with their "new and improved" voting system.
