I've got so much baggage and don't know how to deal with it. Appliances, furniture, bills and loads of other stuff. First world problem but I just feel overwhelmed.
What did you do?

Craigs list the furniture, etc..
If you've not used it let me know. There's scammers out there but are fairly easy to figure out.
Or a garage sale?

I look and and there is so much. Packs, tents, sleeping bags, books, photos, clothes, art. Guess I just need to throw it out.
edit: guess I'm just in a bad state of mind.

My rack, my bike, my tools, and my records. That's all I took with me last time I moved.

Large ticket items can be garage saled or donated to whoever. For all the little stuff get some contractors bags and start throwing sh#t you don't use in them. Put a pile of them for donation and another pile for garbage. Trust me, all the stuff that you don't need you won't miss when you unpack it. Last time I moved I threw away or donated a ton of crap. I haven't regretted it once.

depends on lots of things.
if you have time before you move, and you want to keep stuff, then get some boxes and pack some every day. One you get started, you might be surprised how quickly it goes.
how far are you moving?
and concerning the boxes, don't overpack them.
Once everything is in boxes except the big stuff. And the big stuff should be empty. Then you are ready to move.
All that depends on how far you are moving. Across town, this advice isn't so important. Though it still saves you a lot of effort on moving day.

I have thrown and given away most everything a half dozen times, and moved with what fit in my car. I've also been involved in over a hundred moves of full houses. 20 plus times for my own family. You do what you have to do.
Now I get rid of most everything except what fits in a car. Of course I don't own squat now. haha..
