Yep. They're rolling back the drought restrictions and rolling out the videos of cops killing homeless guys.

Pissed rain all day in the So Cal mountains. Too warm for snow, but a welcome, constant soaking.

Really gray in Santa Monica all day and not a drop. Hope it wrings itself out somewhere.

I'm sure my retard neighbor who was hosing the leaves off her parking strip
last week is feeling fully vindicated.

Angeles Crest just over a week ago. Climbed at the Tunnels, on the way up there was now snow on the ground but clouds were moving in and temps were dropping. As I climbed it started snowing hard and continued for 30 minutes. By the time I got to my car it was sunny and I could have worn a t shirt climbing. Gotta love So Cal.

"St. Augustine to Santa Monica in 10 Seconds"

I dreamed I saw St. Augustine,
Alive as you or me,
Running through umbrellas
In the utmost misery.
With a towel underneath his arm
And his skin tanned just like God,
He was searching for the lifeguard
With the cut and sculpted bod.

"Arise, arise", he cried so loud
With a voice without restraint,
"Come out ye bronzed king of the beach
And hear my sad complaint.
This lotion that you gave to me
It seems it works too well.
If I should die like this, you see,
I’ll surely go to hell."

I dreamed I saw St. Augustine,
But it was just a dream.
I checked my tube of Coppertone
My favored tanning cream.
I saw I was in danger
Of being burned alive:
The SP factor was far too low;
It read “SP 5.5.”

As of 6 p.m., there were 324 collisions throughout the county reported by California Highway Patrol — more than double the amount on a typical day.

Kind of goes to the stupidity of people. It was mostly just drizzling all day.

UCSD HPWREN System is scientific looking, if not particularly fun.

So there's a winter storm warning here in the Placer county down to 1500 ft. 1'-2' feet expected down to 4,000 ft.....on the west side!!
Plus we've had what seems to be a fair amount of rain. So how are we doing on this snowpack, El Nino thing so far anyway?

Seems like the sierra reports are looking good. Better in the north and slacking a bit in the south.

edit: how the peeps in Tahoe and Mammoouth see it?

Snowpack is 111% of normal. At this time last year it was 50%.

“All the beaches in San Diego are being hammered right now,” said Mayor Dedina.

IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. - Imperial Beach’s mayor said San Diegans need to respect the impending El Niño like they now respect wildfires.

I will add to Serge's comments, if you see one go the other way and keep your fish in the lockers.
