Hi all!

New on here so I thought I'd introduce myself and share a couple of bits I made.

I'm a trad climber from the UK. Currently sidelined due to an injury so using the recovery time as an opportunity to do all the reading I can on aiding and big wall techniques.

Anyway, I didn't want to spend a small fortune on aid gear just to start learning and I found tied etriers a pain so I stitched up a pair of ladders (they turned out a tad long!). I also used an old vinyl advertisement banner to sew up a haul bag, turned out alright I think.

Nice work. You might want a half step between the top step and the handle on the aiders. You must have access to an industrial sewing machine.

Thanks!I found my home sewing machine stitched the material no problem, but turning it back inside out was a bit of a nightmare. I am planning to add a top step in there, but as I'm still learning I haven't been top stepping yet so couldn't be bothered to put it in yet.. I will get round to it though!
