Jennie went to the same school, considers Maureen a godmother.

I just wrote Jen about Boots' death (I have been holding off for months, not to distress her).

Ms O'Hara, a fine actor and person (I met her once, briefly).

She was wonderful as the firebrand redhead in 'The Silent Man', starring with John Wayne.

An icon of a long-gone hollywood era. RIP, Maureen.

I never met her, but I did "meet" The Duke.

I love her all the same.

Apogee, I think she did about five films with Wayne. I'll look it up.

Not a bad obit.

Johnny Nicoletti, her manager and biographer said “at 95, she used to say that she had the wear and tear that came with that kind of mileage”.

“Her and John Wayne [her co-star in The Quiet Man] used to always have a saying, ‘We are a couple of Rolls Royces and mileage never hurt a Rolls.’ She also used to say, ‘Old age is tough, especially when you are so young.”

"Miracle on 34th Street"

She played a young Natalie Wood's mother. When I watched it as a child I almost fell off my chair when Santa asked Natalie what her name was. She replied "Susan Walker"... which is my name.

She was also in the original "Parent Trap"
