Also cited were Tony Sizemore, 59, of St. Cloud, Florida; Bobbie Nelson, 75, of Briarcliff, Texas; Gates Moore, 54, of Austin, Texas; and David Anderson, 50, of Dallas, Texas.
Nelson, 73, has recorded songs including "On the Road Again" and "City of New Orleans."
Guess even the geezers never tire of the old reliables.

I was wondering when I read the news story if they would be charged with "Intent to Distribute" as I think is customary when you've got a pound and half in your possession...or if, on account of him being Willie Nelson and all, they would figure that he wasn't looking to go into that kind of bidness.

A normal person would. But in Willie's case, a pound and a half means he's about out. Time to start looking for some more.

In about '77 Time (Life?) magazine reported that Bob, THE Bob, went through a pound a week. I have generally viewed M r Nelson as a white rastafarian (in a Texan, Cw,Blues-ey Motiff.) If Bob was alive today I'd guess he'd be driving a biodiesel BMW, (hemp oil option)
If Kinky gets in, Willie is slated to be head of the Texas rangers.
Almost make me want to learn to tolerate heat and move to the southern midwest.
