it would be particularly bad if they were eating coal and drinking petroleum...
but eating hay? where does that carbon come from? the atmosphere... so what's the net change in the Carbon Cycle?
the machinery that uses energy to farm the cattle might be an interesting place to look for a carbon footprint, that falls under the category of modern farm technology...
interestingly, the total weight of the indigenous N. American bison herds is about the same as the farmed cattle that now occupy the same lands... and the bison didn't need modern farming techniques to achieve that "productivity."

Interestingly, I just got my SDG&E report card and am informed that I use 39% less energy than my efficient and comparable house size neighbors.
Who are they? "Approximately 100 occupied nearby homes that are similar in size and have both electricity and natural gas service."

The western world predominately slaughters with mechanized industrial tools the mother and father of the planet daily in ignorance.
Thus they do not deserve a stable climate any more.
They get extremes everywhere.
Stooopid stooopid ignorant western fools and their idiotic mental speculations of what is what.
They really have no clue whatsoever ....

^^It's not all that difficult to understand. Judgments as to worthiness (does someone "deserve" something) are up to you.
