Digging thru my gear closet, I came across these old pitons & carabiners I acquired with a purchase of other gear in 1970. Don't know if it's worth anything to anyone. Comments? Advice where to pass them on ... it's just the first chunk of old gear I have to dispose of ... where did I put my Pierre Alain carabiner? And that MOAC chock? That Wiessner piton I cleaned off Hesitation in 1971?

I would be interested in trading for that Cassin pear biner and the Simond vertical if you need any gear. I have the rest covered already but someone will be interested. If the Pierre Allain biner is in really good condition I would be interested in that too.

I found this Pierre Allain Carabiner and yet more stuff. Gotta figure out what to do with all this stuff, as family has no interest in such...

BT - are you really interested in selling this gear? You posted it up on MP a month or more ago and I said I would take it all...you never responded to (both) of my emails.

In 1970, REI was still selling soft iron pitons, and I purchased several Cassin verticals, several ring angles, and soft iron horizontals for use in my all-too-frequent retreats. I still have a bunch of them, and I may yet use them for my intended purpose.

Well if this stuff ins't for sale..then hope you won't mind me stepping in:
Steve if you are looking for a Allain carabiner like that I think I have a good condition spare. Lemme know - your reserve pile is growing..let's get some trading done!
