Every time a review pops up, people seem to suggest there are hundreds of mythical unused haulbags hiding in people's closets. But there never seem to be any for sale.

Anyone got a 2nd hand one going cheap? BD Zion or similar.

Or does anyone know if the BD ones are still good once the vinyl starts cracking? Seams still appear good on mine but the fabric has gone very brittle.

Cheers,
Jane

Like new Yates fatsac haulbag, the biggest haulbag I've ever seen.

8300 cubic inches in the bag the dry bag style skirt on top gives a total of 11,000 CU of water tight storage.

$200 plus shipping.

Edit, might be able to have it delivered to YOSEMITE in May...

Sweet, I'll buy that! Will be in the Valley 1st of May, or ship to my friend in San Francisco.

I've got Metolius' biggest bag in orange. It has seen 4 or 5 walls and looks new. I'd be willing to part with it and I live in SF, so I could work out a way to get it to your friend.

Jane,
If you're coming through SF and end up needing to save some cash I can lend you a Fish Grade 5 and an Atomsmasher for the duration of your trip. I'm on daddy duty and the only hauling they do they do is to the laundromat! Send me a message and we can work it out.

If you are still looking for a haulbag I have a used Metolius Sentinel for $60. It's 46L and a good small second bag. I can send pictures if you are interested.

Here is your Dr. Piton Big Wall Tip of the Day*:

when you attach your pig to the haul line, use a butterfly knot instead of the figure 8 [apparently] pictured above. It is much easier to untie.

tie the loop in your butterfly knot much smaller than the loop pictured above. Not only will it fit under your knot protector and be less likely to abrade, but your pig will also sit much higher when you dock it. The problem with the "long loop" in the knot is that you can only haul your pig so high, after which you have to dock it. The extra length in the knot hangs it that much lower, which can sometimes be harder to work with. You can always lower your pig easily [or not haul it as high] but it's much harder to go the other direction.....

* You know I love you, Jane! ;)

P.S. I love you beat-to-sh|t pig. You could never be accused of being a BWT with a pig that knackered!
