Well, you probably know there is a girdle traverse of El Cap.
But even a rim traverse wouldn't be very similar to On the Edge (bombay chimney at the brink).
It might be an interesting question - what climb is most similar to On the Edge?
Maybe The Ear, on the Salathe'?
Or one of those flaring chimneys on Son of Heart?
Or Realm of the Lizard King (right kind of climbing, but doesn't have the same exposure).

Creative conjecture ß Î Ø T Ç H. Worth looking at. As I scope out Xrez.zooms, it makes an interesting theoretical route….wild, kooky, practically on the summit itself often, ultimately airy. Fun to imagine.

Mucci's on to something, no hauling! When you stop for the night walk back to the last bivvy and drag the stuff over!

Bailing becomes trivial and the commitment is certainly minimized. A gimmick route for the ages.

Kinda like Wet Dreams at Suicide? Hanging out of a flare all funky, almost horizontal?

When in doubt, go right until you don't need your hands anymore.
