Thought these were common. Can't even find an image on the Internet but has to be one here on the Taco!

Anyone know all the details? Doug Robinson in Scotland? Or? What is one worth?

that's one of the most expressionistic alpinism posters i've ever seen.

an incredible balancing of the graphic and the restrained.

Thanks guys. Tomkins does ring a bell. Been a long time. Not sure that I want it and not sure my buddy wants to sell it but he was shopping it this morning.

Love the photo either way. Sure insprired me.

I got one rolled up under the couch. Doesn't say on it who the climber is. Only the address and price for a catalog. $1.00 I didn't know they were worth much. I'd part with mine for the right price?
Living in JTree I like to look at it when I'm feeling to hot.

A classic Ascent 1971 survey of the state of the frosty art four decades back!

Nailed it. Hell's Lum Crag , Cairngorns, Scotland.

Full conditions.

The good old days when it was about the climber and not necessarily the gear.

Well, that fully blows the rumor that the whole thing was staged and the photographer was drinking a cold one and laughing it up while getting the fog machine rolling...

Ok... What about this one?? Been hanging on my wall for YEARS! What up with all the webbing and gear on the rope?

I wondered about that one as well; chopped rope and trying to make it down with whatever was left? Good forum topic, make a one paragraph story about this poster (or the un-named features to the left resembling Buckingham Palace).

I had that poster too as a wee lad. I could never quite figure it out. Last pitch of an epic bail perhaps.

That last one should be titled

"Would you buy life insurance from these blokes?"

Rapping off of a flake. You use what you got.

Sometime it's not pretty.

Changabang is right.
