Debbie and I have done a wild flower walk along the ridge north of I-88 and west of Caron Pass. We hike north on the PCT and then cut around left up to the ridge. In past years July 4 was a good weekend to see the wild flower show, this picture was taken in July 2004 and gives some idea

What are the conditions like this year? still snow? wild flowers? any word...

ED, not sure about the highest parts of Carson pass but there was still snow around the highest parts of Ebbetts Pass last weekend. Flowers at the lower elevations ie. 6-7000 ft.are about 2 weeks behind last year.
