Hi, does anyone have any advice on neat ways to clean pitch 4 (the downward running on) of tangerine trip if climbing solo? For one, I assume I leave the bags at 3 and haul direct to 5, but what's the safest and quickest way to clean and return to the end of pitch 4 when soloing?
Thanks.

Hi.
I've never climbed the trip, but I think you bacically aid that section and back clean it.

Investigate my Anti-Tat cord and you'll be able to clean it easily, safely, quickly and be able to cut all that ugly tat off!

Start on Virginia/LiA.
Are these starts becoming the new normal for TT? Are the first four TT pitches all that bad? That downward traverse seems unique and one of the memorable features of the Trip.

Not sure about the new norm. I've never done the standard start to TT. First time on TTrip we used the virginia/lia start to pass a slow party. If you go this way it will be the most thought provoking aid of the entire TT route. Lambone has a story of ripping some heads down low so just be careful.More direct, not hard, easy hauling and easy cleaning.

Instead of down aiding, just pendi. Ask Ammon for details.

I started on Virginia, not to hard and the first 4 pitches were better then the next 14 on T trip. Haven't done the standard T trip start, looked wet.

Done the trip twice.
Best way is to down-aid. You could just slide along a gri-gri and backup knott (instead of jumars) to reduce clutter; and probably safer should things start popping.
Probably not as tricky as you might be thinking.
