Hello ervery Californian climbers...I will be in california from July to november for an internship . I will leave in Parlier near Fresno. I search some contacts and climbing club at Fresno. I practice mountaineering ang free climbing and I would like to discover the best spot of California...So I would like to climb in the Yosemite Park...
So If you search a climber...I will okay for some good climbing trip.
Good season of climbing and mountaineering at everybody...

Fresno c'est tres maluvais, n'est pas un magasin s'élevant dans Fresno. Parlier mange une chiens dierrier, cest le plus mauvais endroit sur le visage de la terre. Parlier cest gangs and methamphetamine. Yosemite cest trois à quatre heures nord, cest tres bien.

Micka,
You will find climbing partners in Yosemite at Camp 4, or in Tuolumne Meadows at the store. Look at the bulletin boards, or wander around until you find your fellow countrymen swatting mosquitos at a campfire. Folks are usually friendly and helpful once you get into the mountains.
When you get to Fresno, buy a gun and learn to use it. But don't bring it to Yosemite. Only Rangers get to have guns there.

Thanks very much for your "bad news"... I hope it will be better than you said. I am sure there are many very good and interesting people in Parlier...
Concerning a climbing or mountaineering club what are he possibilities in Parlier or in Fresno...

Sadly I dont think you'll have any luck finding a fresno climbing club. People in fresno dont even climb stairs. I do second the idea that you should get a gun, it will come in handy.
However there area some climbers in the foothills but no formal club. Your best bet would be going to Yosemite and hooking up with somone ther. Yosemite and the sierras are great, I wish I had rock like that here. However I worked at fresno county psych for 3 years and can tell you nothing in worth living in fresno. The central vally is amerikas a$$hole, and parlier is the a$$hole of the central vally.

Look up the Southern Sierra Climbers Association.

Many of the members are in and around Fresno. They get together about once a month, but some more often, informally.

Maybe not worth living in Fresno for, but, the Sequoia Brewing Company (and the area around it) was kinda fun. Gateway to, well, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Courtwright, etc.
Yeah, grim place, it seems.
