After seeing the fail thread on the rope swing, this story is has more intrigue and no falling.

15 floors no rappel device.

Wonder what kind of knots they used?

I'll bet the double checked them, too.

Ballsy - classic Chitown - I'd buy them a couple of beers to hear the tale.

It looks like they actually made a rope out of cloth scraps. Much more efficient.

One probably did his Boy Scout Pioneering Merit Badge as a kid.

It's hard to imagine someone that bright getting into trouble in the first place.

A well earned escape. Hopefully they settle down and don't cause any more trouble.

Spider, Sadly there are a number of bright and clever people who get themselves in deep trouble--they often have "disconnects" between their intellectual abilities and their "moral" inhibitions. As to their settling down and staying out of trouble--again, sadly, not very likely for the reason I stated above, and if they are in Federal custody for robbery charges they likely already have a pretty bad track record. Still give them high marks for guts. Oh, 15 stories--a 60 was probably sufficient!!!
