This the sort of thing that leads to my various comments about creeping fascism in the USA. What do you do if one of these creeps stops you while you're walking to the store for a loaf of bread? Run, play dead, shoot first, or just bend over and let them have their way. By comparison, I'd much rather everyone in the town had a semi-automatic. Just keep the guns away from the cops. They're were the real danger lies IMHO.
enough of my rant :-)

The police escalate their tactics in direct proportion in the increase in fire power of the bad guys.

We refuse to do anything to regulate arms in this country, and yet act surprised when the police look at every situation as a life or death matter.

Guns are not increasing our liberty, they are taking it away.

can't go out on the streets between 1000 and 1400 cause of all those crazy
senile mutha-phukkas drivin' their '98 Buicks 25 mutha-phukkin' miles an hour!

"To ask you for your ID, I have to have a reason," Police Chief Todd Stoval said. "Well, I've got statistical reasons that say I've got a lot of crime right now, which gives me probable cause to ask what you're doing out. Then when I add that people are scared…then that gives us even more [reason] to ask why are you here and what are you doing in this area."

Idiots like this guy are what is taking away are liberties. High crime rates are a reason for loss of constitutional rights? There's no way this actually goes into effect.

I was chatting with a couple Isreali colleagues and they're convinced we're going the same way they went years ago. Basically, there will be no "free" public places. All schools, malls, churches, grocery stores, etc. will have TSA type security and armed guards. It least it'll provide jobs for the veterans...
