Just read that June Mountain has re-submitted a plan to operate in the 2013-14 season.
Rather than post another thread I had planned to update that thread... but it looks like another thread was deleted. I don't remember if this went downhill for some reason and the OP nuked it or what. Weird.

Read about it here.

Glad to hear I know a lot of people were upset about this place closing. Hope it happens.

maybe the database has been corrupted.

"What's up with Mammoth Lakes ..." is still there.

If you search for "June Mountain" you will get numerous results from that thread, but if you try to post to it, you get a response that the thread has been removed. The first post of the thread has also been deleted.

Maybe the database has been korrupted.

That's kind of old news. Rusty (Gregory) also said if there was enough snow this winter they would try to get June open. They are already planning on honoring some private contracts they had, mostly church groups. So the lifts must be ready to roll, and ski patrol is planning on doing control work.

IMHO, it was a bluff, a bullying tactic against June Lake. Long bitter history there involving developing pristine raw land and Intrawest.

OH johnny rotten, calling rotten johnny, he is much more eloquent about this than I.

Edit, Yes, what cragman said, it needs to be bought and run by someone else.
Now who wants to buy a bunch of lottery tickets? I could run that place.

As Cragman and all locals know,June can't really "close".It's cost prohibitive. The question is when will it reopen and who will do it.
