Some of y'all might remember that back in June a couple of guys made the first all-disabled ascent of The Big Stone via Zodiac. Well, myself and a couple friends climbed the route just above them to film the ascent, and we just released the short film that we made about the climb.

Watching Craig, Jarem, and Pete climb the route was one of the more inspiring things I've ever seen. It certainly wasn't a speed ascent, but their tenacity and passion pushed aside all thoughts of bailing. Ultimately we all had a pretty freaking awesome time up there. The attitude with which those guys approach life is something I aspire to every day.
I hope you all enjoy the film and that it gets you psyched to get out there, throw aside excuses, and get 'er done!

Dak, thank you so much for sharing this. Having taken care of my friend for 6 years, who is completely paralyzed, and can only move her head (a thriving lawyer! ...actually, I still care for her on weekends, voluntarily), I find this so very inspirational. My girls and I (other long term caregivers) have always tried to find ways to get my girl, Corinne, out into the wilderness. We are STILL planning and scheming. This thread stokes that fire. Thank you.

you should look into Paradox Sports if you haven't already. They do some incredible missions with people in need of a little extra hand to get into the wilderness. Paradox Sports/

Yes, the stump jams were pretty awesome to watch.
I'm really surprised he didn't tape his stump. I'd have thought that skin would be pretty thin, even if he uses it a lot.

GO,
this was so interesting to me. Because Pete was born without an arm his stump doesn't hurt in the same way an amputee's would. Essentially, it gets callused the same way finger tips would. For someone who had lost their arm afterward, it would probably be ridiculously painful.
