I just finished finals, and I've managed to catch one doozy of a head-cold, probably from the mix of hypercaffeination, sleep deprivation, and stress. Ergo, I went out tonight at about ten o'clock to pick up some Nyquil, needing as I do relief from a goodly number of those stuffy-head, sore throat, etc. etc. symptoms their commercials. Yet, to my surprise, the Nyquil section at my local big box chain store (Kroger, that is) has been replaced by little cardboard plaques that you have to carry to the pharmacy to get your over-the-counter cold relief.
Now, I'm all for the radical expansion of police powers, the criminalization of enormous numbers of non-violent Americans, the precipitous rise in prison populations, the explosion in violence on the parts of both law enforcement and criminals, and the strangling of the fourth amendmant that today's War on Drugs (tm) entails, but I think perhaps letting us get our Nyquil without a pharmacists approval is a good idea. I'm still open to revising this opinion, based on evidence of a plague of Nyquil addicts around the country or even just in the south east. I've never had to step over a pile of used syringes and cough-syrup bottles in an alley, though.
To the men who pioneered this new facet of the War on Drugs, I salute you. Please line up for your complimentary gold star sticker and enthusiastic cock-punching.

it's probly because Meth cooks are substituting NyQuil for pseudo-ephedrine these days...
that and High School kids chug bottles of the stuff.

Yea you guys are ass backwards on your drug recipes.
First of all, kids down bottles of Nyquil not for psuedophedrine HCl (which is in sudafed duh!)and is the main ingredient in meth when abstracted with red phosphurus and iodine or is it paint thinner first? ahh i cant quite remember it, anyways kids drink the the syrup for the phsyco active DextroMethmorphan (DXM), which has super similar effect to that of methylene dioxy methamphetamine(MDMA) [ecstacy]
For a while I was watching idiots eat 25 Cortacitin Cough and Colds (Triple C) (Has both DXM and Pseudophedrine) all the time and It deteriated their Dopamine in weeks.
