Watch yourselves people.
I had a grey metolius haulbag stolen from the side of my tent while I slept in Upper Pines a couple of weekends ago.
I went to sleep on a Friday night, when I woke up it was gone.
It had a bunch of neat stuff in it: wall hauler, kong block roll, chum bag, a substantial nut collection, 60x10mm static line, ascenders etc.
Don't let thieves ruin your trip, keep your stuff locked up.
I never thought I would have to worry in the Pines but I guess I did.

I saw a thing at OR that they sell. It is like a cable net bag for putting duffles in and then locking them up.
One of those and a cable tether might have woken you.
I'm definitely looking into one now.

You know, when I climbed Afroman in '99, a bear broke into my Dakota's back shell, tore the door off, much glass, you know the scene....Anyway, when I got back & cleaned it up, I left every bit of my kit in the back of that no door shell for Awhile(I bet the bean counters know how long...lol) and not one thing was Ever touched. I had & still have my stack o' stuff.
Not gloating, mind you, just an observation. People are weird.
