sometimes I think I'm the only one who actually likes doing that pitch when it's running water...

then there was the time in December (or was it January) when a huge mound of crushed ice was sitting just a bit past that, apparently the ice falling off the rim would crash down and be pulverized, and pile up just as neat as if a party was about to happen...

I heard it's running, but I didn't see it myself... water was flowing last weekend with the higher temperatures up high, that's going to happen...

Yes, it's wet - that's normal in the spring.

Just to confirm, here's a photo from the "Good Morning Yosemite" thread:
You can see the reflection from the water,
if you are familiar with the route and know where to look.

Wet is normal, "how" wet might be more relevant.
Sometimes there's a "standing wave" right there.
Other times it's just damp.
Standard for spring time is a steady flow,
and you can take your shoes off and do it barefoot to keep your shoes
from getting wrecked.
Or just try to move quickly through it.

Was there yesterday. Not climbing on that one. It's dry between the rivers of water coming down.

climbed it on saturday. traverse is definitely wet...but that didn't stop us. DO NOT do the alternate 4 class 8th pitch before the pendulum pitch. It is full of water (you will be thoroughly soaked) and some ASSHOLE (no pun intended) took a sh#t at the top of it.

Climbing through the waterfall is fun. Done it multiple times. nothing like placing gear beneath a surface of water.

Don't get me wrong, we did it and it was a nice cool off on the hot day.....HOWEVER, it was disgusting to get to the top of the pitch and realize that all that water was flowing through a huge sh#t some as#@&%e took!!!11!!
