Does anyone have a clue how many active big wallers there are in this country? Maybe someone in the industry is in touch with the numbers. Just wondering...

Dirk.. You are not the Dirk that used to work at A-16 or REI in San Diego are you? If so.. how are things. Hope all is well and that you are still big walling. (We used to climb together on occasion in solid rock)

Or are you Dirk [Diggler] who first showed me Russian Aiders? I shrugged them off as fine for Donini on Cerro Torre. Silly me! I use them all the time now. I think I owe you a beer.

Who are these other Dirks? Oh, I mean, pass that beer. I am the Dirk formerly of Boystown who let Dan lead all the hard pitches on Disco Strangler and who broke the rivet hanger on Bananarama, who did the slowest ever push ascent of Mt. Watkins. Spent five summers in the Ditch. Pleased to meet you all. Seriously, how many people climb walls? Anybody?

Don't know. But since everyone else wants to know who dirk is, I'm guessing he's the dirk I saw climb book of revelations last fall in the church bowl. Nice!

Judging from the conga lines up Nose/Salathe/Lurking/Prow/SFace/NWFHD/LT I'd say "Too many".

These days I'm lucky to get one wall a year in. Stupid desk job.
Oh wait, I QUIT MY FREAKING DESK JOB.
Sweet, more walls in my future.
