NPS is worried about possibly "cutting down" over 45% of YNP's white bark pine tree population!

There thinking of using the wood as particle board and building a giant ladder up to El Cap tree!

oh shit! I didn't realize you guys were getting those nasty little buggers down there!

Right now I'm sitting in a camp in middle of nowhere BC and completely surrounded by 1000's of square miles of dead pine trees.

Been thru it. We did the logging and been planting 400 trees per year for 4 years. Been able to get and plant 100 whitebark pine. Good Griz food but I will be gone by the time the bears come around. Don't know if the neighbors will be happy.
